Toward the realization of "OMRON Carbon Zero”

OMRON has set a target to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) *1 emissions from its own business activities to 68% by fiscal 2024 and 65% by fiscal 2030, compared to fiscal 2016, in order to realize "OMRON Carbon Zero", a pledge to achieve carbon zero emissions (for scope 1、2) by 2050. OMRON is now working to reduce GHG emissions to zero at all 76 sites in Japan in order to achieve its target of a 68% reduction in fiscal 2024.
Scope 3: Category 11 (emissions from the use of products, services, etc., manufactured and sold)
Fiscal 2030: 18% reduction (compared to fiscal 2016)

OMRON joins Japan's first "EP100“ in the manufacturing industry, committing to double energy productivity
OMRON is the first Japanese manufacturer and the fourth Japanese company to join EP100 *2, an international initiative on energy efficiency. OMRON has been working on both productivity improvement and global environmental conservation at its own factories. OMRON contributes to the realization of sustainable manufacturing by providing the technologies and know-how cultivated through these activities as products and services not only to its own production bases but also to its customers’ manufacturing sites.
*2 EP100 is an international corporate initiative sponsored by The Climate Group, an international environmental nonprofit organization headquartered in the United Kingdom. Participating companies' target is to double energy productivity in their business activities (e.g., 50% improvement in energy efficiency).
