Special ONBOARD
Developer/in-house Interviews Behind the reliability of a product lies strength and integrity.

Interviews with product developers are available on the OMRON electronic components website.

In order to solve social issues through products, unprecedented specification values must be achieved. OMRON is committed to developing products that are easy to use for the people who actually use them, even in areas that do not appear in the specifications. OMRON will contribute to solving social issues through tireless daily efforts and challenges.

In addition to the episodes below,

High-capacity Power Relays

「0.2 mΩ or less」. All of us who specialize in relay development were speechless when this value came out. The contact resistance of our general power relays is 100 mΩ. 0.2 mΩ is 1/500 of the contact resistance value, which was truly an impossible challenge.

G9KA

Our "never-give-up" spirit and relentlessness in the face of a challenge has made it possible to develop this product that achieves two conflicting performances: ultra-low contact resistance of 0.2 mΩ or less and high capacity.

Operating Switches for Mouse

You might think that it is easier to keep things unchanged than to create new value. However, from the point of view of development, it is extremely difficult to keep things unchanged.

D2F

This product has been highly evaluated not only for its long service life and comfort of operational feeling, but also for its high process quality backed by statistical methods.

Semiconductor Relays

The product concept was ready, but OMRON Relay & Devices Corporation could not develop it on its own, so we struggled to find a way to make it a reality.

G3VM-□□MT

This product is a semiconductor relay that achieves both long service life and low leakage current by adopting the world's first "T circuit structure"*1.

*1. "T circuit structure" composed of multiple MOS FET relays was adopted for the first time in the world as a relay module. (According to OMRON's research in August 2021)

* Contents as of August 2023.
