Efforts to calculate CO2 emissions per product (PCF: Carbon Footprint of Product)
To strengthen the connectivity between non-financial and financial environmental impact, OMRON has introduced an “Environmental Evaluation Framework” and is working to design and develop products that take the environment into consideration. In line with this system, OMRON has established its own calculation guidelines*1 for PCF based on ISO 14067*2 and the Pathfinder Framework*3 to respond to society's increasing demand for PCF disclosure.
In our electronic components business, we are calculating PCF based on our own calculation guidelines and have received third-party verification certification for our representative products*4.
