OMRON’s relays safely and efficiently support inverter
circuits that support society
Energy-saving and efficiency improvements have been made to various equipment used in society, such as air conditioners, conveyors, refrigerators, and power infrastructure equipment, and inverters (circuits) are widely used to achieve optimal control.
Relays are used to control inverters for inrush current control at power-on. OMRON uses various analysis technologies to achieve the relay performance required for inverter control. We support devices that serve as a secure foundation for society by providing optimal relays.
A large inrush current flows through the inverter circuit and
can be handled in two ways.
Configure inrush current protection circuit with relay and resistor
Inrush current
Inrush current is passed through a circuit that incorporates a resistor to buffer the inrush current and charge the capacitor
Rated current
After reaching a stable current value, current is supplied to the motor, compressor, etc.
Directly pass inrush current through a relay
The relationship between inrush currents and relays is presented here with a specific focus on renewable energy power supply systems.
