Why is the COM terminal color different in basic switches?

ID: FAQE20033E

Because the COM terminal has a connecting portion with other internal conductive parts, only the COM terminal is plated to increase conductivity inside the switch.
・COM terminal: copper alloy + silver plating
・SPST-NO, SPST-NC: copper alloy

Our basic switch models with different color are as follows.

  • V size:
Tab terminal specification. All terminals to be soldered are silver plated to improve solderability.
  • S size:
Model SS. All other types have all the terminals silver-plated.
  • J size:
    All the terminals are silver-plated.
