Activities for RoHS-compliant Products
The RoHS Directive (Restriction of the Use of Certain Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Equipment) prohibits the use of ten substances in electrical and electronic equipment in the European Union (EU). The ten substances are lead (Pb), mercury (Hg), cadmium (Cd), hexavalent chromium (Cr6+), polybrominated biphenyl (PBB), polybrominated diphenyl ether (PBDE), bis(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP/DOP), butyl benzyl phthalate (BBP), dibutyl phthalate (DBP), and diisobutyl phthalate (DIBP).
OMRON complies with the RoHS Directive for all products which might be expected to be used within the EU and the parts used in these products.
The "Ro" marking is placed on the packaging of such products (including in-process work and components on PCBs) to indicate that they do not include any of the ten substances prohibited by the RoHS Directive.
＊This marking or labeling would be removed if any of those substances is included in products due to some circumstances on the supplier’s side.
